POP ROCKS CONGRATULATES ALL PARTICIPANTS OF THE WORLD ROLLER GAMES 2019
Pop Rocks® as an Official Sponsor of the sport of Figure Skating at the World Roller Games, enjoyed and celebrated the great success of this event, which brought the world championships of all roller sports to Barcelona (Spain).
With a devoted audience and a very high level of competition, Sant Jordi Palace in Barcelona hosted the finals of these championships. The WRG achieved a record attendance, with attendees from all around the world to witness the various sports competitions. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the sportsmanship and close competition that took place.
CPA L’Aldea, sponsored by Pop Rocks®, was the worthy champion of Small Groups Artistic Skating, with its show “Without the Sun” inspired by the world of vampires. Their show raised the audience that packed the Sant Jordi Palace to a standing ovation. CP Gondomar, with their show “St. Mary” was classified second, and CP Maçanet was fourth, with a very impressive show as well.
There were 11 intense days of competition and effort, and Pop Rocks® was proud to sponsor Figure Skating, a sport of great visual beauty that combines expression, choreography, creativity and demanding technical skills.
On July 14th, the last day, in a simple and solemn ceremony, the Presidents of the International Federation, Mr. Aracu, the National Federation, Mr. Paniagua and the President of the Generalitat, Mr. Quim Torra, closed the WRG at the Palau de la Generalitat in Barcelona, with a thank you for the cooperation between the entities, as well as the help received from the Barcelona City Council and Sponsors in the organization of these Games, which were a great success.
Dotty Escolà, CEO, and Juan García, Director of Sponsorships, attended the ceremony in representation of Pop Rocks®, as official sponsor of the artistic modality of the WRG2019.
